Getting my first promotion. There are many opportunities to move up and advance.
Once upon a time, way back in the day, I used to work as a part-time DJ at a local radio station.
Our service teams enjoy the positions of Service Consultant, Technician, Valet, Customer Service Manager, Detailer, and many more. They are vital to our everyday operations. When they are not servicing vehicles that are coming through the shop, they are eagerly learning how to better everyday processes to make sure our customers receive the top-notch experience our customers have come to expect.
Keisha King - Toyota
I would say my favorite part of my job is helping take care of my customer’s needs for their vehicle. Also seeing a smile on their face when the service is completed.
Both Mr. Snyder and the employees at Checkered Flag make this a great place to work at. Every day I can honestly say Mr. Snyder comes by with a smile on his face and makes sure all his employees are doing good. That is what makes this a great place to work.
My proudest moment is when I hit my 10 year mark. I don’t believe in short term jobs so I am proud at myself for accomplishing my goal.

The advice I would give someone that is or wanting to apply for a job in this department would be that it takes a while to grasp the techniques and systems of the vehicle to fully understand a customer’s complaint and not to be in a hurry and rush yourself. Take your time when first starting to work on the vehicles and understand what you are doing and why you are doing it.
The people that I work with in my department make it a great place to work. If I don’t have a tool or don’t know how to do something, there is always someone that has the tool or you can ask to get help from.
Like most I had no idea. I know that I did want to serve my country and did for 25 years.
Our parts departments service both our customers directly as well as our service departments. They ensure that we have the right parts, at the right time, at the right price. Our valued parts employees work behind the scenes so that our customers have a seamless experience whether they are DIYers, or need something installed by us on their vehicle.
Kristy Poulson - Hyundai
We all work together as a team and you learn something every day.
I’m able to speak with our customers about their cars and what they like about them. Some of the customers we interact with have been coming to us for years.
Spending time with my family and going camping with family and friends.
The IT team at Checkered Flag works tirelessly to make sure all systems are "GO" at all times. They handle everything from simple reboots to complex system installations. We have our own on-site IT team to assist every department throughout the Checkered Flag organization.
Shannon Hamler - IT
When I am off work I enjoy spending time with my husband and my four boys. They are my life so in between doing homework I spend as much time with my family that I can.
I would tell them to be honest and positive. Come with a good attitude and be willing to work hard and be dedicated to the position they are applying for. They need to come with an open mind and be willing to work. They also need to have a good head on their shoulders. Checkered Flag takes care of their people, it’s like a small family so don’t worry if you are hired just do your job do it well and you will be rewarded.
Most people know I am an animal lover but what they may not know is that I own a pet snake.
Customer Care Center
The Customer Care Center at Checkered Flag is rivaled by few! They handle everything from incoming operator calls, dispatching shuttles, service scheduling, and much more, all with a friendly attitude.
Teresa Goggin - Service Customer Care Center
I think to be successful at Checkered Flag you must keep an open mind with a positive attitude as there are many great opportunities as long as you work hard & be a team player. Your success depends on you.
On my days off I enjoy time relaxing at the beach & swimming in my pool.
My proudest moment(s) with Checkered Flag over the last 6 years have been when I won 2 trips....I had never flown on a commercial airline before or been out of the country & I travelled to Costa Rica & Mexico ...allowing 2 stamps in my passport...it was an amazing experience for myself & my family!
The operations center at Checkered Flag handles all the behind-the-scenes tasks that make Checkered Flag great. Titling, Accounts Payables and Receivables, Warranties, Wholesale, and Payroll are just a few examples of what occurs at our operations center.
Marvita Norman - Operations
The best part of my job is answering questions related to titling. I like to make sure customers are aware of what’s needed to make sure their titling process is done smoothly & accurately.
